cong**** to erikn a crowd-pleasing fight, three division world champion and Mexican ring legend Erik Morales (49-6, 34 KOs) returned as a welterweight on Saturday night following a two-and-a-half year layoff to trade punches with former lightweight titleholder Jose Alfaro (23-6, 20 KOs) on Saturday night at the in Monterrey, Mexico. It was a brutal battle from the opening bell, with both fighters giving and taking a lot of punches as Morales showed the old fire that made him loved by fight fans around the world. In the end, Morales claimed a 117-111, 116-112, 116-112 decision.

although I think both soto & montiel have more mileage left in them, I think its harder for them to win their 4th as they seemed to be to small for the next division up, not to mention the monsters occupying those division...Comment
