It was a weird event with that, the DQ, and the referee missing two knockdowns.

I really thought they were going to stop the fght there. The cut hadnt been deemed a butt. Dirrell wins. Suprised they let it go on in his home town.

lol yeah it took forever and he was wiping blood off AA cheek and putting pressure on it for atleast a good minute it seemed like. I thought the ref wasn't that great nor the doctors for that matter.

Refs do that all the time to check how deep the cut is. You can't determine the severity of a cut if you don't wipe away the blood you idiots. But since the Showtime commentators made a fuss about it, you sheep follow their lead. I bet if the commentators didn't say anything then this thread would have never been made.

OH ****! THE AMERICAN IS BEING HIT! Lets check up on that cut that was opened up 3 rounds ago that I've been ignoring.
nope aa was still getting countered & beat to the punch at that point. But right after they fixed it, it was like he caught a second wind.

wrong I'm late watching it. Glad I recorded it b/c I would have missed.

I was like wtf is he doing. Then I was thinking what if aa comes back now. & he did more than just wipe the blood up. Plus they usually wait after the round to check it. His cut didn't bleed no more

Weird event indeed. Shame it had to end the way it did.

Typical euro bias to the fighter that always complains about body shots being low blows.

Yeah that ****'s gotta stop. That's the ref's job to identify the low blows. Abraham is just used to the refs doing whatever he tells them to in Germany.

That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed from a ringside physician. Even when Cole told him that he was only supposed to examine the cut, not work it, he kept doing so as if he'd never heard that before. Very amateurish from the doctor, and a poor job by the ref not stopping him immediately. Never have I seen a ref apply pressure to a cut. most times they won't even touch it aside from a quick swipe to see what's going on. BTW Abraham was in trouble when he stopped the fight in order to let the doctor take a look at the cut. He's supposed to wait for a lull in the action.
