The poll highlights clearly that there's far too many people on here who know **** about boxing and have never entered a ring, yet are quite happy to lay into Dirrell who produced an amazing performance last night.
Was Dirrell acting? I think he was...

The results were negative for any kind of hemmoraging. That doesn't mean he wasn't concussed. By the way he went down and how he kept grabbing his head, I would say he was. No way to tell but either way, he got his bell rung pretty good and without being on his feet or seeing the shot, the power on the shot was multiplied. (Been hit twice while I was beint held on my knees in junior high too)The doctor was examining him and clearly had a flashlight to confirm that he was actively looking for a possible concussion.
I know that the tests came back negative but that doesn't necessarily mean than he didn't suffer one.
The question is, was he allowed to sleep after being released from the hospital?
That would answer the concussion question.Comment

That's one of my arguments..."Dirrell was acting" supporters should try taking a flush shot from a power puncher as big as Abraham on their knees, hands down completely unexpected and see if they won't feel like complete crap. No, I just think many people on here have a hard time distinguishing the difference between acting and real human emotion. It was obvious to the above average intellectual eye that he was speasking out of pure unawareness. Had he even knew what was going on he would have been complaining that he was hit while he was down. He didn't even know it because he was concussed from the punch and probably didn't even remember the fight. I've been there and the way I reacted was described to me to be the exact way Dirrell acted.
I had amnesia for a week after suffering a concussion while motocross riding without a helmet.(****** I know. Was 16 and had big balls of steele) I know what was going on in his head. It will all seem like a dream to him when he gets his senses. That's a scary thing and I can't believe people on here are even considering him as being a faker.
Let me ask you this. Could you have taken that shot while sitting on your ass not looking? Not even close.
End of story as far as I am concerned.Comment

Then also give red K to every voter who voted yes.
Not only it's a legitimate question, because he acted as if he had a concussion (but he had none) or as if he had a serious brain injury (but he had none), but also because currently the voters say 120:180 (yes:no), so it's not reprehensible to poll'ize what's on people's minds.Last edited by knn; 03-29-2010, 06:31 PM.Comment

Exactly. It's a standard foul in boxing and happens a lot. Especially in the heat of the fight.Comment

Did you guys notice, Dirrell didn't even know that he won. He thought that he got knocked out and lost the fight. How the hell was he acting if he thought that he lost????
I seriously think that he just got a big headache after the punch that laid him on the floor. Just like somebody with a big migraine and your head is just pounding.
check out time 5:14
Andre Dirrell, "My head is pounding man, get me some f**king aspirin man!"
check out time 7:58
Andre Dirrell, "I just got knocked out man!"
