He's the last guy who you'd think would win it given all those easy title defenses he made up until now. But he has finally stepped up his comp. We knew he was a pretty good fighter. But what has took him so long to step up?

Having the fight for The Ring belt was a bit pointless, though it may have given the fight a bit more press.

The lineage of the flyweight championship goes back to Miguel Canto in the 70's. The Ring should have probably recognized this earlier.
