Here's a post I made on Roy Jones:

I think alot of the fighters that Jones didnt fight were in Europe. I think Collins was the guy that i think would have given him the most trouble. I do agree that he should have tried to get atleast two of the big 4 europeans under his belt Benn, Collins, Eubank, and Dariusz. The Benn thing comes down to who you believe? Some say Benn asked for too much money. But after the Mclellenan fight many feared that Benn would rabbit punch in the UK and get away with it. Dariusz lost to Gonzalez a guy that Jones did beat. He also gave these guys their first loss Griffin, Harding, Toney, and Gonzalez. He also gave Hopkins his only Middleweight loss in a 12 and half year span. Jones also became the first MW to beat a HW champ in nearly a century.

Nowadays, we have 17 divisions instead of 8 and guys are not fighting every month anymore so of course they will leave names off their resumes.

Not just black fighters. It also took pretty long for Jake LaMotta to get a title shot. He tanked a fight.
That's true. That's the other side of the coin. The ducked. That species is as old as boxing itself. It's true that most of them where black fighters but there was whites as well. Packey Macfarland for instance.

Jones blames it on Don king, Benn has never publicy said why that fight fell through
