Then why doesn't he step up the competition? His posturing is beyond annoying. He acts like his opponent is so far beneath him yet he can't get him out of there. You know why that is? Because he doesn't know how to set up his punches, etc. for the KO. When he's got a guy with a good chin in front of him like Barros, he doesn't know how to close the show. Truth is, he isn't as great as he thinks he is. His flaws are still the same as they were when I saw him fight Johnnie Edwards.
If Gamboa thinks he's so BAD...

the fact that he has vulnerability makes him a great watch for Television but you all cry when a real boxer like Mayweather puts on a clinic but can box til he's 40, which is it. Watch Gamboa sleep Juamna like he did Roger Mtagwa. Juanma couldn't close that show and damn near suffered a blood clot to the brain!!Comment

My problem with him is all the dancing around b.s. that he does. It annoys me to NO end. Instead of doing that, why not actually WORK on some things???? Boggles the mind. It's frustrating to see a guy with that much natural ability looking like Bozo the Clown. The verdict is still out on him.Comment

Yea, that's the only fucked up part.
he hits the opponent and backs up to show everyone, and shows off.Comment

he is fun to watch, i enjoy watching people that are ****y, for example roy jones in his prime. it is entertaining, i know RJJ showed off in a different way but i still like watching gamboa, plus if he got hit when he has his hands down it would probably make you laugh and it might make him think about doing it in the future.Comment
