  • Comments Thread For: Yuriorkis Gamboa-Jonathan Barros Early Results

Later today at the Sporthalle in Alsterdorf, Hamburg, Germany, WBA "regular" featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (17-0, 15KOs) makes his return to Germany to defend his title against undefeated Jonathan Barros (28-0-1, 16KOs). Barros has an impressive record on paper but never fought anybody near the level of Gamboa. [Click Here To Read More]

I just checked out the first fight. 8:41 of this video, there is a serious shot happening here.

I don't see how Kretschmann's gonna deal if he gets dropped like that again.

Sounds like Gamboa was pretty dominant despite not getting the KO.

Trust me Juanma isn't scared of Caballero. Arum is the 1 who's scared. He's more scared about Juanma taking the L then Juanma is. I don't think he will throw him in there with any1 who has more than a good chance at beating him. He won't let 1 of his big money fighters lose 2 another fighter from another company. Arum likes 2 be in win-win situations. That's why he's setting up Gamboa vs Lopez the way he set up Cotto vs Margarito. When 1 loses, he still wins cuz he promotes the fighter who just beat him. You gotta think more about the business side of things when certain fights don't get made. Its easy 2 say 1 guy is scared of the other but its not always that simple.
