Comments Thread For: Kameda-Wonjongkam; Moreno-Cermeno: Report Cards

By Cliff Rold - There were many a week ago lamenting a Heavyweight championship fight being left off of U.S. airwaves. It wasn’t a one-time occurrence; Heavyweight titlists like Nicolay Valuev and Ruslan Chagaev had title fights in recent years no American network picked up and it was hardly mentioned.

The world’s best Heavyweight long been tied to the U.S fight scene. That slot no longer is anywhere near an American fighter; it belongs to one Klitschko or another, but because of what the mantle means, it somehow felt wrong. [Click Here To Read More]

Anselmo Moreno will keep proving me right on my Whitaker comparison.

Nice report cards. Almost same as mine; Pong via close decision and Moreno via unanimous decision.

You definitely called it bro (Pong via close decision). Did you watch the fight? If so, what do you think? I was rooting for Pong, but I thought Koki did enough to win. Sounds like they're setting the stage for a 5th Pong vs Naito fight.

Had Kameda ahead by a point through eight and Wong sweeping the last four rounds. He sort of sealed it when he hurt him in the 11th.

Good call on the Kameda-Wonjongkam fight...

I got Moreno in this fight. I think he is one of the most underrated fighters in the sport.

He's a slight dog at the books but I don't think it's anything he has or hasn't done.

It's just that Cermeno has been on a terror as of late, but I have the Panamanian technician in a 115-113 type decision.
