This is a bit of a double standard, to clown a less great opponent is OK, but to clown a good opponent is not.
I think what you probably meant to say was, its OK when a boxer you like does it, but its not ok when its being done to a boxer you like.
I think Joe was justified in doing it, and i'm sure Roy thought it was kind of funny as well.
But honestly clowning is generally disrespectful, the only guy i can think of that clowned in a non-disrespectful way was Augustus (burton)
