I've been a Guzman fan since mid-2007 when he signed to fight Katsidis and I watched his fight catalog. I loved how naturally talented he was and I felt like the sky was the limit for him.
When he was overweight for Nate Campbell, I felt like an ******* for supporting him so thoroughly but figured he'd pay the price and when he started to come back I thought he'd learned his lesson. During the first Funeka fight, he got whooped, and got a BS decision. Then once he got Lee Beard in his corner, I said "Yes, finally, a trainer he meshes with, he's got this".
Now even with Kerry Kayes as his nutritionist, the guy who helped Ricky Hatton boil down from 180 to 140 for so many years, can't even get him lower than 144 for a contracted 135 pound fight. Absolute disgrace.
