I'm not sure I'd say Funeka is a superior fighter, Funeka imo isn't tremendously skilled he is simply huge for the division, long and has a lot of stamina. Really he's like Paul Williams. If Williams wasn't so big he really wouldn't be that special.

funeka is easy to hit like a paul williams. nate camble had him hurt everytime he landed
guzman was schooling him easy until fatboy ranout of gas and started bleeding.
funeka like williams rely on his high volume of punches which means he is right there to get hit by edwin all day long.

and why do people call edwin a hypejob? because he hasnt been tested because he knocks everyone out because he isnt mainstream yet? roy jones knockedout what his first 19 opponents im sure ppl was saying oh he jsut a hype job he hasnt faced anyone.
well until valero proves wrong and shows he isnt champion material i still count him a 2 divsion champion thats undefeated with a 100% ko ratio. until he proves himself wrong i wont call him a hype job. im going with edwin in this fight.

valero showed he can punch has speed has heart has skills not 1 dimensional.

so in other words u havent seen him outbox joan guzman and zahir raheem, battering one all over the ring and icing the other in 4. meanwhile barely taking a punch in the progress.

if u think hes like paul williams u couldnt be more wrong. funeka can box beautifully behind his jab, has very solid fundamentals and good defense.

watch him fight, i can tell u havent.

false. funeka is a very good boxer who uses his height and jab to keep ppl of him. campbell didnt hurt him everytime he landed and even if he did its not like valero is even good enough to carry nates jockstrap anyways.

funeka is nothing like williams, all u did is prove u eighter havent seen enough of his fights or dont know jack **** about boxing, your like the jackasses comparing williams to tommy hearns.

funeka was beating guzman all night, dont make up lies. and he doesnt rely on workrate, he can box behind the jab using his great footwork and fundamentals, he can sit down on his **** and punch or he can do the high volume thing. but hes far from one dimensional like mr valero.

why do ppl call valero a hypejob? id say its a combination of eyesight, an ounce of boxing knowledge or more and common sense. lol at comparing him to roy jones, i thought it was gonna be hard to out do your funeka/williams comparison but there it is in the very same post. like pure ******ation put in print.

valero and skills? im not even gonna comment on that..

i seen him outwork a gassed bloody guzman. outbox no. theres a difference. paul williams outworked a old winky wright. i saw nate camble beat up funeka. yeah funekaalmsot won but he was getting droepd and hurt everytime camble landed a punch. and we all know cambell is like a black pacquiao(sarcasm)

and im not knocking him he is good he has lot of heatrt and comes to win but he is what he is. yeah he jabs but he is wide open to get smacked. guzman smacked him around until he jsut stoped then ali came on strong. thats guzmans fault and ali took advantage should have won. but dont discredit valero when he hasnt done anything wrong yet. and is still a 2 division champion undefeated yes untested yes but still hasnt proved he is just a hype job

Dude, Funeka was a GIANT against those guys. That plays a huge factor man. How many 6'1 guys fight at 130-135 pounds?????

Similarly like Paul Williams being 6'3 at weltwerweight, **** was unreal.

I give you that about the jab, he has a great jab and does have better fundamentals than paul williams, I still think his overwhelming size & reach advantage plays more of a factor than his actual skills.

watch him fight, i can tell u havent.
I have several of his fights on DVD, I've watched him about as much as the next man if not more.

i shouldnt even reply because you couldnt just post your simple reply without calling me a jackass. first i never compared paul williams to herns. 2nd i never said valero was roy jones. what i compared was that roy was just hype until he fought a top guy. so you cant discredit valero because he hasnt gotten a big name guy on his resume yet it doesnt mean he sucks.

and why dont valero have skills? the only mistake he makes is he keeps his chin out yet he gets hit less than funeka? valero has better footwork better defense and a better jab. ali is good but now your the jackass who make him out to be some super boxer. i think you can claim to be the first funeka nuthugger lol cong****

im not saying hes pernell whitaker, but when u are that tall u dont have to be. like gerorge foreman said, "show me a tall man with a good jab and ill show u man hard to beat".

basic fundamentals, height and a good jab and its gonna be hard to get close to him, if u cant get close u cant hit him. thats defense. williams doesnt use his height for ****, funeka uses it very well and thats a skill knowing how to fight tall.

sorry about the jackass thing, really it was immature.

but saying valero has better footwork, defense and jab is just wrong. seriously? jab!?

valero hasn fought funekas competition though, campbell would knock him out and both raheem and guzman would give him a boxing lesson. we will just wait and see, i already called him as the next jeff lacy.

im not a funeka nuthugger i just see potential in him, im not saying he could take on the world but valero is a hypejob who he (like most solid fighters) would have little to no difficulties exposing. again lets just wait and see.
