He's been fighting in the US long enough to learn English.

Look at Cotto... he worked on learning the English language and he improved a lot.

He is in the US 8 weeks for a fight max. Heck he couldn't even get into the US because of tax reasons for Cotto.

How much can you learn English when training?

Well his English isn't bad though.

Cotto has OK English but both don't speak much and are definitely better and more easier to talk to in their mother tongue
