I think what he's saying is that Mayweather would never get full credit for that fight considering how tough that fight would be (meaning Mayweather is extremely small @ 154 vs Martinez)

Yet you dont wanna see it?
Floyd is usually the smaller fighter at WW and you want him fighting the best guy at 154.

Let's put Manny against Martinez at 154 with no catchweight and let's see how he does against him. There's a reason why they have weight classes.

Floyd's better than Manny though. Not criticizing Floyd for not fighting Martinez, because it would never end (Martinez, Middleweight champion, Bute), but I'd certainly give him a lot of praise if he took it.

Every fighter has their limits especially at the end of their career.

If Martinez comes down to WW or a catchweight... that's a different story.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again. I still think this is by far the easiest fight for Floyd out of all the top guys. His slickness and stuff is good but its a little overrated. You arent going to beat Floyd with his style and holding your hands down. I think Floyd actually goes right at him the whole fight, walks him down, and dominates him

Sergio's taller and has a longer reach with better power, in addition to being a southpaw. He wouldn't have to out finesse Floyd.

I think people may be getting carried away with Mayweather being able to do it at JMW consistently. Although his skill level does make it possible as opposed to someone like Mosley, who is too willing to mix it up. I think Mosley's desire to fight is why he came into trouble fighting naturally bigger guys, because his punches had less effect than he was used to and their punches probably took more of a toll. Someone elusive is more likely to have better success against bigger guys.
