You have to have a good jab and ability to counter punch. From there you have to make him pay for his mistakes so you discourage him. It is not easy to do.

The only other way is if you are just so much bigger than Pacquiao that he can't handle it.

I see a lot of people saying a "counter puncher" will beat Pacquiao....but let me break the news to you guys: This version of Pac will eat a counter puncher alive. Saying a counter puncher beats him now is almost as bad as saying a body puncher beats him. Yes he struggled against both at one time (sigurat body punch & Jmm with counter punching) but he has made the necessary adjustments and improved his footwork and positioning, which were the sole reason for him getting countered.

            So he's unbeatable then?

Even if you look at the success Marquez had, Marquez is still stationary; right in front of you counter puncher. Anyway, I always figured that the style to beat Pacquiao is sort of the same style Frankie Rndall used against JCC. I'm not comparing Chavez with Pacquiao; those are two completely different styles, but everytime I watch that fight, I get that thats the style to beat Pacquiao. Someone who can bounce around, show good movement and occasionally throw the 1-2 while keeping a high guard, not so high though.

Attack the body. Remember both of his losses were from body punches.
