fatfael is **** as a journalist and his hate for Mayweather is evident.
I agree , can't compare them. Though Floyd since fighting Oscar, has fought Hatton, then retired so his come out of retirement fight would be hyped, which it was. Not to mention him announcing the fight before a big Pac fight, and marketing the ***** out of it. And now he is fighting a guy who Americans have wanted to see him fight for years. There is no doubt Mayweather is very smart when it comes to making money in the business. However, if he had just fought the best WW's in the world and put the business aside then his PPV #'s would possibly be less but his legacy would be much bigger. Then again in retrospect if he fought guys like Cotto, Margarito and Williams he would have made more money then he has now but he would have had to take the risk of losing.

heck why doesn't he compare Floyd of 2006 with Manny of 2006?

        Floyd:

        Baldomir 325
        Judah 375

        700 total buys

        averaging 350

        Manny

        Morales II: 350
        Solis: 200
        Morales III: 350

        900 total buys

        averaging 300

        as you guys state

        numbers don't lie
The numbers of pacquiao is already good considering that the lower weight classes doesn't get huge PPV buys and Floyd was fighting that time in higher weights.

Those numbers were released a week after the fight, they always go up at the final tally which ended up at 910k for that fight. Mayweather-Hoya reported 2 million a week after but went up to 2.4.

For the last time man, Floyd-Hatton did 920K. You saying Mayweather-Hatton did 850K would be like me saying Pac-Clottey did 650K. It was the initial estimate before everything was finalized.

Kevin Iole and Dan Rafael didn't pull 900+K out of their ass.

lmao...espn dont care about boxing. thats why they only have one analyst. what i dont get is why the guy looks for chances to discredit mayweather. i mean hes fighting mosely, i dnt see how anyone can hate him for tainkg that fight. but yet he has to compare pac's numbers, which are great btw.

is he worried may/mosely will blow it out of the water???it will but thats to be expeceted. this along with lampleys ****! is what makes ppl not like the way pac is treated by the media. i mean he deserves hype, but when u go too far, its just distasteful.

manny pacquiao made juan manuel marquez.

If manny pacquiao never fought juan manuel marquez there would be no piss drinking on 24/7 & no 1 million ppv buys (allegedly) vs marquez.

Floyd leeched off of marquez mexican fame, fanbase, & stature which pacquiao gave marquez.

                      /thread.
