Should Roy Jones Jr Have Dropped Back Down To LHW when He Beated John Ruiz?

    Absolutely... without recapturing the LHW title after winning the HW title he WOULDN'T have matched what Bob Fitsimmons did.

    Bob Fitsimmons was the first fighter to win titles from MW to HW.. and then RECAPTURE the LHW title afterwards.

    If Roy didn't regain the LHW title... he would of fell short of what Bob Fitsimmons accomplished.

    But instead he went through with it, succeeded, and matched it.

    He doesn't regret it to this day.

      he should have dropped to CW and stayed there for the rest of his career. moving back down to LHW caused a lot of physical and mental ware that pretty much ruined him permanently. CW would have been the best career choice he could have possibly made.

        I reckon he could have beaten some guys who where around like Chris Byrd and Holyfield but he couldn't beat the top guys, Vitali and Wladimir so why stick around?
