It also depends on how you get knocked out.

Joey Maxim, a light heavyweight champion in 1950's, was outpointed plenty of times but he said his worst experience was being knocked out cold for over 10 minutes by Curtis 'Hatchetman' Sheppard. He was never knocked out again.

I imagine John Ruiz would probably answer the same. The KO loss to Tua seemed to affect him more than the boxing lesson against Roy Jones.

Getting outboxed for 12 rounds is embarrassing, anyone can be KO'ed by a lucky punch or even a well placed punch in the first round, but to get outboxed to the point where you have to go back to your stool every round in utter confusion in a helpless state can be demoralizing to a boxers confidence.

yeah it more fustrating to be outsmart and having no option.

But if a person is brutal even if he is not skilled will be scary but if a person is very skilled and not scary doesnt make anything to a normal crowd only a true boxer will know how hard it is to beat him.

Are you predicting Paulie is going to outbox khan for 12 rounds, and you're just trying to figure out which of Khans two defeats will be worse? *joking*

Actually i recently had a minute to kill so i rewatched Prescott VS Khan, and i think it should have been stopped after the first knockdown, Khan was in bad shape, but i think because of his rising fame and undefeated record they let it continue, but the fight should have been shorter than it actually was.

I'd say getting completley outboxed for 12rounds.

Ask Jeff Lacy how it feels. He was never the same once Calzaghe outboxed him and made him look like a fool.

I have mixed feelings on this one, it totally depends on the situation. If the guy makes you look ****** for 12 rounds, thats probably better than looking like you got a weak chin. But if the guy is clearly a better boxer than you but can't hurt you, i'd rather go 12 rounds. Getting KO'd in the first round means you really screwed up somewhere, or you were totally dominated. Getting outboxed for 12 rounds means the other guy is better, or at least was better that day, i'd rather lose knowing i lost to a guy who had my number than get KO'd in the first and think how i really ****ed up in that fight.
