Hopkins vs Jones II is going to be a great fight

Seriously, half of ya'll don't understand that this is going to be something special. Forget the records, the age, the rankings, forget all that and consider these are two legends of the game in a rematch. And they are polar opposites in almost every way.

For 17 years hate has been brewing between them. 17 years. That's all time to hold a grudge.

Roy Jones said, "if there is ever a time to get up you get up for your rival. And Bernard is my rival."

If you think roy is simply in this fight for a paycheck you're mistaken, he's coming to win.

His style would never allow hopkins to knock him out early, nor is hopkins a big puncher, so you can cross that idea out right now.

His style would never allow hopkins to simply bully him and rough him up all night long, he's too quick and he can still catch bernard cleanly. Hopkins, no matter who he fights, will always be cautious, smart and defensive and if nothing else, those are reasons that this will be competitive. Styles make fights, don't ever forget that.

We're going to see a lot of **** talking, a lot of showboating and a fight to remember. If nothing else it will be entertaining and I bet a whole lot of animated gifs will be made in the following days of the fight.

Don't believe, just watch the fight

History says you'll be wrong..nothing against you at all, but there's absolutely no way this fight can be entertaining at all, because it means absolutely nothing.

maybe not to you, but if you appreciate the sweet science many of us find his fights very entertaining. Just recently against Pavlik, that was a masterful performance. Lopsided sure but we were witnessing history.

haha, that's where you're wrong pal. There are COUNTLESS fights that "mean nothing" that are absolutely thrillers. Fights that don't mean ****. I've seen fights where one guy was 14-9 fighting a guy who was 8-12 and it was a ****er. I've seen tons of fights like that.

And I disagree with that statement anyway, this fight does mean something. It means something to Jones & Hopkins that's for sure, means something to the fans.

I mean in the sense that Hopkins should be fighting Chad Dawson, not RJJ who has been knocked out over and over again. I don't see anything great about the fight, and Hopkins style sucks now.

well that's your opinion cant hate on you for that, but to me, and lots of other people I know, Hopkins style vs Pavlik was very entertaining. Sure, the Calzaghe fight was a stinker, but that's a totally different fight. Roy Jones vs Hopkins will be nothing like that

Roy Jones is coming off a KO loss to Danny Green. If he can even make this fight competative, i'll tip my hat off to him.
