How much of a chance does Roy have against BHOP?

I'm going with Hopkins but I wouldn't be surprised if Jones made it a competitive fight. The speed is still there and that's what generally troubles Hopkins, not to mention Hopkins may be slowing down even more now that he's 45.

Roy needs his speed and athleticism to win. He hasn't got either anymore.

As a Roy fan, this fight's gonna be hard to watch.

Think B-Hop is gonna knock Jones out early. Don't think Roy has a big chance against The Executioner.

Agree on the bolded mate, but I think that Roy is still relatively quick.

Yer, he's not slow don't get me wrong but he isn't quick enough either to make this fight his.

I can take Roy losing to anyone right now because he's done and his legacy is sown up as far as i'm concerned but Hopkins having the final word bothers me. A lot!

I think he still has pretty damn good speed, maybe not quite what it used to be but still better then most fighters out there. Just look at the Lacy fight - he was throwing some blazing combinations.

The problem is that he doesn't have legs so he isn't elusive and his defense was always dependent on his speed and reflexes and he's now paying the price for not have the basic fundamentals.

Hopkins is going to want to work on the inside but I think Jones will make that a little difficult because of his speed but I do think when he does get inside he's going to pummel Jones.

Roy was once a great in ring performer, but I have never considered him a great fighter.I think this will be the last we see of Roy. He was revealed a few years back and has never fully recovered.Bernard is a much better fighter now and will expose Roy even more.I feel sad for Roy.He really believed he was that good by fighting bum after bum after bum in his prime. But that type of resume will backfire on you once you step in the ring with good solid talented fighters. If I was him, I would have never took the rematch with Bernard. If he loses badly, his legacy will be damaged forever.
