With some people talking about this Kimbo Slice guy i thought i would give a mention to the great bare knuckle boxer Roy ''Pretty boy'' Shaw.

He became a bare knuckle boxer at the age of 42 after serving a long sentence for armed robbery, and was considered one of the hardest men in britain at one time.

He was much smaller than most of the opponents he faced but still won most of his fights. he is best remembered for his three brutal fights with Lenny ''the Guvnor'' Mclean.

Shaw is also one of the very few people to have beaten down a prison cell door from the inside.

I'm a little suprised and ashamed of myself for never having heard of Shaw considering that the bare knuckle era was one of my personal fav's THanks for the info though...think I'll check him out more
