What about the Antwun Echols fights? The Trinidad fight? Hopkins style has changed in more recent times, but he hasn't always fought that way. Those are two that stand out, but Hopkins has been in a lot of decent fights, IMO.

He hasn't been in a decent fight in my opinion since Trinidad. After that his style changed. I could actually kinda watch Kelly Staphlik get his ass kicked, that was enjoyable, but everything else...ewww.

Hopkins-Dawson will never happen, dawson isnt a big attarction in terms of money and tickets sold. Hopkins wants to move upto HW.

If I remember correctly, the Joppy fight wasn't too bad, haven't seen it in forever though. I can agree though, most of his fights since '04ish have been a lot less interesting. I've enjoyed some of them, but I can understand people saying they were boring. I enjoyed the Pavlik fight, the Calzaghe and Tarver fights weren't too bad to me, although neither get replayed too often

Haye needs to fight one of the Klitchkos and Hopkins needs to fight Dawson or retire.

I would love to see BH and Haye. But if they fight, when will Haye ever get to fight the klitschos, which i also want to see?
But Ruiz is a handful for anyone, but RJJ it seems.

I honestly don't think Hopkins is personally afraid of Chad Dawson. HBO lowballed him like a motherfucker when that fight was being discussed. HBO only offered $3 million for both Dawson and Hopkins to split down the middle. Which is fair, given that both guys are not big draws at this stage. But put yourself in Hopkins' shoes for a minute. Would you take that kind of chump change payday to fight someone like that who is only highly regarded by hardcore boxing purists? Now regardless of that, Hopkins has no business fighting a shot Roy Jones. He could've fought someone else besides that if he felt like the Dawson fight was a crap payday. Cunningham and Bute come to mind.
