Comments Thread For: If Pavlik Beats Martinez, Cowboys Stadium Could Be Next

If WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik is able to overcome the challenge of Sergio Martinez on April 17 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, he might be in line to headline a card at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. According to a report by Joe Scalzo of The Vindicator, there have been internal talks between Arum and the Cowboys organization. [Click Here To Read More]

Pavlik is the Middleweight champion of the world & was only able bring in 5,000 in his hometown. he did fight a bum though. if Williams can beat Cintron, thats a fight that can draw a pretty good crowd. idk about 50,000 maybe 20,000 or 30,000 with a good undercard. & Arum is fooling himself if he thinks Chavez Jr. is a superstar. keep that ****ing bum in Mexico. most likely it will be margarito 2 be on the card being how texas is the only state thinkin about letting him fight.

If Pavlik gets past Sergio (doubt it) make a fight with Pavlik-Williams to settle the grudge in Dallas and have Martinez-Margarito II at 154lbs. that would be beautiful.

              who would he fight

I think Pavlik wont be a big draw here in Dallas. I also think that margarito will sell tickets but chavez jr., your kidding me. Chavez jr. wont sell tickets and he is a bum anyways, he struggles with bums and gets hit too much, even with the popularity of his name alot of mexican fans here are not sold on the son of the legend. As for me if this does happen and margarito is on the card i will not be attending, i think this cheater should not be able to fight anymore, period, and im a mexican and that was disgraceful and embarrasing in having been caught with a substance in his gloves..

Williams vs Pavlik and have Margarito fight Angulo at 154 lbs. That would definitely sell 40,000 seats without a doubt.

                  It's Youngstown, man.

It's not like his hometown is Miami.
