Dr. Don H. Catlin, the head of the Los Angeles-based non-profit Anti-Doping Research, Inc., said a 24-day cutoff for blood testing is not sufficient to prevent abuse. One of the concerns with such a long blood-testing cutoff prior to the date of competition would be the potential use of Erythropoietin, or EPO.

But Catlin said that wouldn’t be the only concern if there were a 24-day cutoff imposed.

“If you have a 24-day window that’s free, with no testing, you can take whatever you want and you’re not going to get caught, end of story,” Catlin said. “[Urine testing] does matter, yes, but they’re not going to catch everything by urine testing alone. What you would do is to take Mircera [a type of EPO], which is available and which is not easy to detect in urine and away you go. You need a blood test.”

if you want to reply. Atleast answer the question. What's wrong with taking the BLOOD test right after the fight?

Even the Dr. who wrote that article would agree that it will detect any use of PED in Manny's system if he took it even days before the fight.

ok, it looks like you guys are pro mayweather which is perfecly fine. every1 has a right their opinion. manny took care of his business, lets see if mayeather does the same. mosley aint gonna be easy. i think floyd wins but you never know what can happen.

Realy its both men responsible for the fight not taking place.But i must say the Manny and Roach have been giving demands for many fights but they dont like demands given to them.
Mayweather accepted 3 of Manny's demands for there fight...The ring size,what gloves they would wear,and the 10 million$ penalty for every lb Floyd came in over 147lbs.
Pacquiao said no to the one demand that Floyd put out there.Random Testing,that he (Floyd) will also be taking himself.Its wasn't like Floyd was asking Manny to take random testing and Floyd would take a different testing.They would be taking the same type of testing.I think thats fair game.
So Mayweather agrees to Pacquiao's demands and signs his end of the contract.Manny rejects the one demand that Floyd asked and doesn't sign his end of the contract.And Pac fans wonder why people feel that there is something wrong with that picture.
For Manny's team,you cant have it both ways.You cant just keep giving demands and not expect something thrown back at you from time to time.If Manny was so confident of a win against Mayweather jr,then why do they care about the gloves worn,or the ring size,or the 10 million for every pound that Floyd weighs over 147lbs.Manny's team keeps saying "just fight us Floyd",but yet they are doing the same thing that Mayweather is doing.
We the fans are the ones losing out...

that thread is very useless, the argument there is terrible (is it a joke?) nobody gives a damn who said whos on what either i dont care about floyds previous fights or pacs previous fights when talking about THIS ONE FIGHT BEING MADE AND WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO MAKE IT!!!! all those symantical arguments (PROVE FLOYD WASNT ON PEDS/WHY IS HE ASKING FOR THE TEST AFTER 40 FIGHTS)etc are worthless and women like and have nothing to do with manny taking the test and or an agreement being made to make the fight...

Pacquiao has the right to protect himself from being in a fight against someone who has an unfair advantage in weight, so he asked for a 10 mil/lbs penalty, I think that's competely understandable even though PBF has never come in over the ww limit.

Why is asking for more strict OST such an extreme request when both fighter are clean? Does Mayweather not have the same right to protect himself from an unfair advantage.
