Not saying it would be any different, but... Hopkins was better at 160 than LHW, and Wright is certainly better at 160 than 170. I just feel like it would have been awesome to have Hopkins be able to make the weight one more time or something. Have him fight Wright before Taylor, or if he beat him (which he very well could have), after.
It's too bad Hopkins vs. Wright didn't happen at 160

That is why I'm not a big fan of Hopkins. His biggest wins are over Bloated WW's in Trinidad and Hoya.Pavlik moved up to 170,a weight he's never fought at against Hopkins
When Hopkins finally decided to fight some one around his weight class ,He ended up losing to Taylor Twice and Jones bitd etc.Winky Wright also had never fought at 170 yet another example of Hopkins picking on lower weight fighters
If the fight was @ 160 I'd favor Wright back thenComment

tbh i thought Winky adopted the wrong game plan, he should of stuck to his Boxing instead of trying to make Hopkins fight, he tried to put it on Hopkins too much imo.Comment

Their fight at 170 was pretty close and I felt stamina was one of the problems Wright had during the fight. He would've done a lot better at 160.Comment

Though I've always had issue with the whole thing with Hopkins, I till feel he beats all those guys at any weight. Look at the way they fought him. Especially Trinadad who just moved straight forward the whole fight, and Pavlik who couldn't figure out how to defend against the jab. De la Hoya couldn't beat him at any weight, period. He could never rise to the occasion and beat any of the elite fighters he ever faced, and Hopkins is probably top three on his resume. Now Winky and Bernard are the closest out of all these guys except for Pavlik in size, (frame-wise) I see that fight going the same at whatever weight they fought at as well.Comment
