Honestly, what prospect/young fighter isn't overrated? I've heard 50 people call Hatton overrated, same for Cotto, same for Harris, etc...

Abdullaev is really good. I have seen him before and I am very impressed. Im surprised hes not more of a household name, but maybe language barrier might exists. I would pick him to KO Cotto.

After seeing Abdullaev a couple of times as a pro, I don't see him doing very good against Cotto. He is much slower than Miguel and he seems to be hit somewhat easily, sort of a robotic european style not much head movement. But I also haven't seen him fight too recently so he may have corrected his defense some but he's still too slow. COTTO BY KO/TKO middle rounds.

Cotto is bigger than Abdulaev and his best asset, the left hook, is stronger than any one punch Abdulaev posses. However, Abdualaev is a step up for Cotto competition wise and thumps harder than anyone Cotto has been in with thus far.

This fight probably won't go past five rounds because someone is bound to get KO'd in this fight between two fighters that carry heavy punching power and suspect chins. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cotto KO'd.

i seen abdulaev fights on fnf after the olympics. he's strong with a cromagnon forehead that was hard on the opponents chin and fists. he fights european style and can take repeated punches to the head. a rough guy. we will see how much power cotto really has because abdulaev will be an easy target to hit. and adulaev could get lucky.cotto is one inch taller . abdulaev has a two inch longer reach. hope its not being faught in puerto rico!

he's an average fighter.............and nowhere near a worthy contender to cotto's fringe title................cotto is being padded, and they think they can market this fight as a "legitimate", only because abdullaev beat cotto in an "amateur" bout 5 years ago................

abdulaev is a good tuneup and a worthy contender for that cheezy belt. small risk of being hurt in this one. plus gives cotto just a little more time for an opening for a big money fight against the big guys.

i saw a few of abdulaev fights and honestly i was impressed , he has a thight guard ,put his punches together well and looks like he can crack .

i think that during the first 2 years after the olympics he was better than cotto , but cotto received better training , plus abdualev is rumored to be past 30 altough he is somethin like 24 officialy.
