Either froch won more rounds or he didn't and there is no way in hell froch won 6-7 rounds.

If you disagree with that approach that's one thing but to say that sentiment never existed is plain lying.
Why does Manny Steward or Letterman feel the same? Talk to any older boxing fan. Since it first started through to the 1980's at least that was pretty much standard when scoring a title fight.
I don't know and don't think it was ever an actual rule written down on a page somewhere but every sport has 'unwritten rules'. that is one in boxing and always has been until recently.Last edited by Mikhnienko; 03-24-2010, 07:50 PM.

However, it was an atrocious scorecard.
The closest i personally could have scored it, being as generous to PW as possible, was a draw. That 1 card lets you know someone has their pockets stuffed though.
The Cintron decision (s) lol where ..............not even a word for it.. I just feel bad for Martinez.

I haven't watched the fight in a few months, but I felt rounds one through ten were pretty decisive as to who won them. However over the last two rounds it comes down to whether you preferred Williams' volume or Martinez's fewer, but cleaner blows.
I had it 115-113 Martinez, but can see a draw or 115-113 Williams.
