I don't get Showtime, so I'd love HBO to do a 140 tournament. It'd be better than 168 in my opinion. I think 140 is the best division right now. My only problem with the tournaments is when good fighters get left out, we can't see them fight anyone good because the tournament fighters have to fight who they're told to.

The one fighter who they can build up at 118? Abner Mares, he speaks both Spanish and English. The youngest Kameda brother as well. He speaks Japaneese and Spanish he could learn English and is a pretty good fighter.

Plus you have action Packed fighters like Agbeko and Perez

And, elite fighters like Hasegawa and Moreno.

Hasegawa I know for a fact is one damm good boxer, Abner Mares has the potential, and IDK never really been sold on Moreno. This tournament would be great as well but do you think HBO/Showtime would really be interested in it? One of the big reasons they did the Super Six was because of the three americans in it. The 140 one also has Bradley,Devon,Lamont,Campbell etc.

Showtime started the tourney thing off and HBO is pissed they are the ones having to conjure up their own tourney just to steal back some of the hype........HBO sucks for the most part now, too much controversy and politics.

HBO wouldn't do it just cuz Ross Greenburg does not know what he is doing. He already over pay fighters and over pay for dumbass fights. HBO don't care about the lower weights.

Showtime however would do it. They do care about the lower weights. And, Showtime also has the model of great fights, no rights. So they will be downs. You just have to get the fighters and promoters do agree.

However, the one thing I would is that to make sure the tournament does not run so long. Have it somehow that the whole tournament will take place in just a 12 month period and no more.

Exactly, Why is there such a long waiting period between fights? Back in the days boxers wouldn't take such long breaks.
