Pre-fight:
"Its no concern of mine whether it is 145 pounds or not," Cotto said.
"That is the usual weight that we cut down to for the weigh in, and in the ring—on fight night—I will go up eight to 10 pounds, so actually during the fight I will weigh around 155," stated Cotto.
Post-fight:
"I felt really good at that weight. It wasn't a problem for me."Comment

how the hell was barrera shot when he was coming off the biggest wins of his career when he faced pac and goes on another 4 year win streak afterwards???
You justify pac getting cotto's belt at a catchweight the same way you justify leonard getting a light heavyweight title at super middleweight.
he lost to jmm the fight before pac. mab was shot ask anybody with a normal functioning brain.
4 year win streak after? WAKE UP where yougetting 4 years from?????? it was 2 not even like 1 year and change
after pac he fought venture 25-19 and then rojas 1-7 then lost to khan. the man was shot and you just got
yeah and the lalonde thing i didnt agree with as well as everyone else under the sun.Comment

want to go with that as I already said his resume to me did not make me
think he was much greater than Floyd.
If you want to rate him above fine but to make it seem like there is a large
chasm between them is to me foolish no matter how many greater than signs
you make.
To me Floyd's run at 130 was the best run either man had in any division.Comment

the 1st Pac-Barrera fight was in 2003. Barrera was coming off wins against the likes of Jesus Salud, Naseem Hamed, Erik Morales, Johnny Tapia and Kevin Kelley. The biggest winstreak of Barrera's entire career and earned him the #3 p4p spot by ring magazine. Pacquiao was a 30 to 1 underdog and destoryed Barrera.
Barrera would then not lose again until 2007 against Marquez. and even that is debatable as he arguably won that fight as well.Comment
