What is up with Pacquiao's cauliflower ear?

I noticed he has a cauliflower right ear during his post fight interview after the Clottey fight. I've never noticed that before. Anyone know how that happened?

That's fine a lot of boxers get them through the years of fighting.

Cotto was no where near weight drained.. not like he was at 140 NO WAY.
He came in healthy and strong. Cotto usually weighs in at 146 with a pound or two to spare.
