3 things that really caught my attention in the recent interview with Merkel and Richardson:
Merkel said there was no urinalysis done after the fight! He even questioned it and said he was told it wasn't going to happen. This is another example of why there needs to be an independent commission with real unannounced testing from the minute the fight is signed.
Green's hands were illegally wrapped, which he questioned and was told too bad, fight or be DQ'd! What a joke! No wonder Hopkins wanted no part of Green Down Under.
Merk sent a "young man" to check out the wraps and told him what to look for? I am hoping that that this person was far more qualified than this statement makes him out to be otherwise if I was Jones I would be pissed that checking the wraps and gloves was handled so casually.
This brings up one last point. If Green cheated out of the Urinalysis, cheated at wrapping his hands whose to say that his gloves weren't loaded? That shot to Jones didn't look like it was thrown hard enough to do much damage at all yet it completely scrambled Roy's egg. I am very su****ious of this now and wish Team Jones all the luck getting this shady fight overturned.
