Roy Jones Jr. is training for what may be the final fight of his boxing career when he faces Bernard Hopkins on April 3 in Las Vegas. Jones won a decision over Hopkins 17-years ago. Speaking with AOL's FanHouse, Jones said if he knocks Hopkins out, he would likely walk away from the sport. He also says that may not be enough. A part of him might want to avenge knockout defeats to Glen Johnson and Danny Green. [Click Here To Read More]

RJJ is deluded. Bhop will win, there's no doubt in my mind. Something happened to Roy along the way, it's sad to see him in the ring nowadays considering he was once so great.Last edited by Bring It On; 03-23-2010, 05:04 AM. -

Nobody mentioned here had a snowmans chance in hell at beating a prime Roy Jones Jr. so I don't know why everyone is trippin' over this.
Roy is a warrior. In case you don't know, this is how they think. Period.
If you don't think like this, you are in the wrong sport for sure.
Prime Roy puts a Clinton Woods on Green or Glenn Johnson and decisions Hopkins even more decisively than the first time. Rjj has nothing to prove, but the fact that he is still trying just shows how much heart he has and always had.
That being said, I think the fight goes to a decision with B-hop getting the probable nod. Hopkins has more in the tank but not enough power to seriously hurt Roy. Roy has enough power still but will have a hard time catching up to a shifty fighter like B-hop even now. If anything, Roy can win a decision based on activity. Hopkins is one of the guys that Roy will not have a problem with his activity. He's not going to be throwing 700+ punches. He may be in the 450-500 punch range and that's not going to be a problem for Roy. Not even at this point. So this could be a better fight than a lot give them credit for. I hope it is a mind blower and HBO kicks themselves.
Official pick is Hopkins by a MD or UD in a competitive fight with Roy being fully capable of the upset.
One thing for sure is though, Roy will not be retiring after this fight either way. I gaurantee it.Comment
