Have to agree with those who say they ought to take away Povetkin's "mandatory" status if he's not taking this fight in the next few months. If he's waiting around for the Klitschko's to retire, he could be in a for a long wait. Wlad the Impaler looked this weekend like he could beat up the current crop of heavyweights for another five years.

If Povetkin doesn't want to fight Wlad next he should be forced to fight Peter for the right to keep his title shot. Why they give Peter a shot when 1) Povetkin still has to fight and 2) just for beating three bums and a fringe contender is beyond me.

Then Wlad can fight Haye which I don't think is going to happen anyway because either Haye is chicken, Valuev will force his rematch clause or Don King stands to take too much money from him.
