Amir As Pro.

Hey every1 i found out ages ago that Amir was a pro (well in fact after the kindelan fight) but i just want to know how u lot think he will do in his professional career. as of yet i cant rele c anything that special in him for the professional game but im still confident he will be a success. what does every1 else think on him.

I would have liked to see Amir as an Amateur for a while longer, at least until after the world championships. He is still very young and there is no need for him to have turned pro as soon as he has, after the next Olympics he would still have only been 21. However he's with Frank Warren and you can hardly say that he's known for overmatching his fighters so im sure Amir will be eased in on a slow learning curve, just hope the public don't loose interest in him like they did with Audley, by the way whats happened to him now? It'll be interesting to see how Amir develops as a pro.

good points. Audley wanted to become heavyweight champ and many would agree because there is not much in the way of him in the heavyweight division. look on skysports it tells u loads

Let's not forget that Amir was an outstanding Amateur, his Amateur career didn't last long but it was glittering. After totally dominating Nationally he decided to display his quick hands, timing and accuracy all over the World...

Amir won the Junior Olympics in 2003 where he was named best boxer in all weight divisions, then he won the Senior European Championships at the ripe old age of 16 where he again was named best boxer in all weight divisions, then he won the Junior World Championships where he yet again was named best boxer in all weight divisions, then came the Senior World Championships where he lost to the great Kindelan, next up was the Olympics where he again lost to the great Kindelan, and then third time lucky he beat the great Kindelan just a few weeks ago having trained "10 times harder" than he had done for the Olympics.

Amir is obviously a talent, and very assured for his age, he has added some solid power behind his punches and is willing to work hard in the gym to adapt to the professional ranks. He says that he will be a World Champion before his 21st birthday (which will break Naseem Hamed's record as youngest British World Champion) and plans on retiring at age 25!

This kid truly believes that he will be a legend, so let's just wait and see if he can adapt.. (he has tools)..

seems like he has the tools to be a very good fighter. Hopefully they will ease him slowly..get some easy wins under his belt before stepping up the competition.

he simply got paid just for Frank Warren to be able to promote him and to call himself a "professional"
