Oscar would have been KOed to the chin later regardless. He was taking a beating from the mid rounds on.
Did DLH throw the fight against Bhop?

Anyone who thinks there is questions about that has never boxed before and has never been hit with a kidney shot, especially one he never saw coming from a naturally bigger fighter. Body shots take everything you have right out of you. It doesnt matter what your ab game looks like, a good body shot will end the night.Approved. Have these sent over to my office.No. Simply no. The fact that the KO is almost anti-climactic, that it just happens and you don't know what the hell is going on or why Oscar De La Hoya is staying on the canvas for the only time in his career, of course that fuels the conspiracy mill.
1. Real body shot.
2. Anyone who has followed De La Hoya's career knows that he is one proud man and for no amount of money would he throw a fight where he could be Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World.Comment

That's where it landed, under the right rib cage.

I never understood how people even thought it was a dive, because Oscar went down from a body punch? Oscar went in the early rounds and traded with Hopkins, if he was going to take a dive he would have moved around and waited for a punch to land to take a dive. You don't go in and try to take his head off first and then go down.
Like a middleweight can't stop a welterweight with a bodypunch. LOLComment
