Are you buying this whole Pacquiao Retirement thing?

    Cause I'm certainly not.......

The more of these bull**** stories I read everyday the more I think this fight with Mayweather is going to happen,
Either this is a ploy to try lure Mayweather into dropping the Testing or it is to promote the fight fullstop, there is no way in hell Manny Pacquiao is going to retire just like that!
He's at the peak of his Career and there is a mega-fight that can still be made!

Are his Family worried about him fighting Floyd and what may come of it?
I'm sorry Pac fans but Pacquiao needs to stop letting other people influence him and do his own god dam thing!
He shouldn’t be passive when it comes to his retirement, because he might end up really hating himself if he walks away before he’s really ready. The way that Pacquiao has been talking about Mayweather a lot, I think it’s important that he go out of his way to make that fight happen. Not only do boxing fans want this fight to happen, but I think Pacquiao wants it to happen just as much, although he’d probably be the last one to admit it.

Its the people around him who don't want it!

It's hard to be a serious politican and a pro-boxer at the same time. I think he is serious, it's not like he needs to do much more.

Seemingly he is not favorite to win that election anyway,
You say he doesn't need to do much more but I disagree,
Okay he has sealed his legacy as an ATG imo, he has had some great fights,
He has upset the bookies on a few occasions and shocked the world,
He has made a fan out of me also,
BUT if he doesn't fight Floyd will it leave a question mark over his career and everything he has achieved?
        I think so....

Of course he's not going to retire! It's like did people honestly believe Ricky Hatton was Floyd's last fight?

But just in case I hope the people vote against him & he loses the election.

Of course it would be bad for boxing if he didn't fight Floyd and many would be angry if he retired without the fight but if they can't come to an agreement it simply won't happen. I don't see either guy backing down from there demands now, it has gone to far for that. None of them want to be the one who folds. I dont think it will happen.

In the end if they don't fight, then it wasn't meant to happen.

There'll just be "What if" threads and scenearios and fantasy fights, and whole lotta nonsenese talk about a fight that "Could've been".

                So be it.

They'll both retire comfortably and live to talk about it in Canastota.

They might even pull a Roy-Bernard and make a fight when they're way past prime. 20 years down the road.

People would still pay to see it.

I understand if they can't come to an agreement then the fight should not happen, but this is only a small thing......
Manny took a test 17 days before the Clottey and 14 days before the Hatton fight......
So whats the dahm problem I say?

with all the money he has and all the wars he been thru i wouldnt be surprised if he did retire. he should fight the floyd vs shane winner and then retire. there's no other fight that makes sense for him at this point.
