The reason no one wants to fight Byrd is cause he's not a big draw and very awkward to fight. Pretty much the same reason that Winky was avoided for so long by many top fighters.

i agree i think he might get beat by Lyhovich maybe not but pretty soon he will get his ass beat by someone cause he doesnt deserve to be a champion. Hes running from Wlad Klitschko like a lil *****, and the question should be why doesnt Chris Byrd wanna fight anyone not why doesnt anyone wana fight him...

Byrd better be careful and start kissing some Don King ass. He is boring and doesn't put butts in seats..that is why nobody wants to fight him except Wlad. Byrd refused to go to Germany to fo fight Wlad, so the deal was off. Don King is fed up with the no money making Byrd and is looking to drop him from DKP.

I would like to see Byrd vs Toney in Detroit. That is about the only Byrd fight I need to see.

Who would not want to fight Byrd. I think most heavyweights in the world love to have a chance at his IBF belt. Byrd is full of **** when says that the other heavyweights duck him. Name one fighter is at the current time ducking Chris Byrd. Look who Byrd's next opponent is. Is it John Ruiz, is it Lamon Brewster, is it James Toney, is it Wladimir Klistchko. Nope. None of those guys he is fighting some guy nobody has ever heard of ranked like 8th by the IBF named Lakhovich.

Lakhovic has one quality win against Dominic Guinn and that is it.

Here is his last 8 fights

Byrd just makes most boxers look bad, his style is just plain akward and he's also a southpaw, he's a slick boxer with very good reflexes, a lot of guys just don't want to take the risk of looking bad by fighting him, he's also the sort of boxer that a lot of casual fans just don't want to watch, some people want to see world war 3 in every fight, not a boxing clinic, thats just the way it is.

if Byrd was smart, he'd try to look beatable, like he has been lately to try and lure some top hw's into big money fights with him. i really think he should fight my boi JT, james needs that last IBF belt for his collection

You kidding me? Ruiz wrote an open letter challenging EVERY other champ for a year! And everyone ducked him anyway. Don't give me that crap about chicken**** Byrd.

Byrd vs Toney in Detroit would be BAAAD!! And a promoter's dream.
Could you imagine the undercard...Tommy Hearns' kid, Rico Hoye, and open with Ron Artest vs Ben Wallace!
