I gotta say this. Look Pacquiao said he doesn't need Mayweather right. But the truth is. Pacquiao is where he's at today because of Mayweather. Think about it. He blew up after De la Hoya and Hatton. Why? Because everyone compared his wins to Mayweather's wins over the two. They said wow Pacquiao made de la hoya quit and floyd got a split decision. They said wow Pacquiao knocked out Hatton in 2 rounds and it took Floyd 10. That's why he is where he is today. So Pacquiao yes you do need Floyd. But you know you can't beat him so you're already setting up the biggest duck ever!! They fail to realize when oscar fought Floyd it was at 154 in which oscar outweighed Floyd by several pounds on fight night. Where as Manny fought Oscar at 147 and Manny outweighed Oscar in that fight. Oscar came in weak from the weight loss and Manny came in strong. The general public doesn't know this or care to know this. They look at the names and the results thus creating what Manny Pacquiao is today. All Hype!!

Have to disgaree with you here bro. If Floyd had not fought Hatton, Pac would have been the first person to stop him and in that fashion he may have been elevated further.
He made OScar quit but If Floyd had not fought Oscar, Pac win would maybe seem greater even though Oscar hasn't ben a real fighter in years.

To the guy who said that MANNY needs FLOYD Is mistaking. MANNY paved his own way and his wins against HATTON/DE LA HOYA had nothing 2 do with it. MAYWEATHER hasn't had nearly the level of competition that MANNY has faced in the ring. MANNY can retire right now with his LEGACY as an A.T.G. If MAYWEATHER retired today, he would just be considered a H.O.F. And that's the difference MAN.

I disagree.. I think Manny and Floyd would have to fight each other to cement either legacy. Manny's 7 belts in diff classes gives him the edge, but Floyd being a diva doesn't take away from the fact of him trashing top ranked fighters. Regardless if they are ranked on our personal lists or not. But honestly, I had both of them beating every guy they both have faced in the last 5 years. The All Time Great..is the one who wins the fight against one another.

Dude it's like talking to a bunch of idiots sometimes in here. Some of these guy's logic couldn't even be given away for free. Manny blatantly ducked Shane. Wanted absolutely no part of him and is only talking **** now because Floyd and Shane are focusing on each other. You never really heard from the little stiff until that fight was signed then he all of a sudden got a battery on his back.

A lot of people forget how shane was hounding manny's camp after the hatton fight. But, people also forget how shane backed out of the clottey fight... I love boxing

overweight floyd beat bloated old marquez.. floyd weighed in 2 pounds over the contracted weight limit. marquez was very slow as if he is in slow motion during that fight.. how could floyd clean up boxing when he is the one who had a record of cheating?

pacquaio holds the 140 & 147 belts, currently pound for pound king, proclaimed boxer of the decade & the only boxer to have 7 different div titles.

floyd has nothing to offer right now but his 0 loss.

For the past few months on my days off, up until the Clottey fight. I have watched every Floyd fight from 00-10. I tried for Pac but couldn't find them all ..... Came close to bout 80 % of his fights..... All you guys have to be utterly ****ing brain dead or blind.... Bc pac and floyd are no where near on the same level wtf....

lets break down Pac fight skills..... Superb power in both hands, fast ,punching from all angles..... Ok what else, absolutely nothing else..... Things all good boxers (not fighters) need.... A good fight stance Pac has never even learned correct fighting positioning ..... This guy foot work consist of getting in and out up and back... Have you ever wonder why he's battered every effin fight... With all that so called speed he couldn't side step a punch to save his life.... Now to this world renowned punches and bunches BS..... Pac throws straight rights and lefts, full extend from mid section high, hunched back outwards like igor lol....With every thing from neck up fully exposed(which for counter punchers i.e. Marguez Mayweather hell at times even Clottey, it's like shooting fish in a barrel with a target so big.)


Now to the worst thing that Pac does with his beloved combos... Watch the tapes... When he throws his combos he never has one anchor foot down lol amateurish.... he jumps up in the air, off both feet just asking to be countered with straight rights and left hooks.... Then completely flat foot once again firing away in that Igor stance, what happens next he is so planted plus with the ability to not side step , eats uppercut after uppercut.... Pac is a great fighter with, a great team..... Pacs success at the higher weights are fairly obvious he was faster then all the WW's he fought so he doesn't get caught as much, like when he was fighting the little fast guys....


Now to floyd defense that is only dreamed about .... Foot work like A well oiled machine. The ability to fight going forwards backwards, even fights and defends his best on the ROPES. Honestly Floyd doesn't have hand power but what he does have is core strength... I watched all the fights once again... Floyd has been the smaller guy in 90 % of his fights ....With that being said, he man handles and dictates the fight to the bigger guys...Tying them up pushing them wrestling them into frustration and exhaustion.... what do they all say after the fights (I didnt know he was that strong) .... after floyd beat these guys to have them bowing down to his greatness.... The all look like deer in the head lights after losing ( ko tko stoppage or ud) he didnt hurt me i just couldn't see the shots, i had him tho....


This is what i see in a Pac-Floyd fight ..... Pac comes out hot as a 2 dollar pistol... Swing away at floyd, Floyd taste pac power and see that he is the real deal.... From that point on floyd will know that Pac can ko him.... So mostly like Floyd will start to smoother him like he did, Hatton DLH Judah Ndou Gatti Corrales Castillo Etc..... Tying them up making them support his in their weight for 4 for rounds or so letting them fight him with his back to the ropes missing nearly every punch fired (watch the tapes).....

You forget about everything except technique. Fights are not won on boxing technique alone. Who has the mental strength? Who will refuse to lose? It only takes one good punch to slip through and it can change the fight around completely. Who remains calm and composed when that happens? Who's the bigger risk taker?

There's so much more to it than what you've outlined above.

Both are already ATG's man, with Pacquiao being considered by most to be higher up the list. No doubt both Floyd and Pacquiao are All Time Greats, the only question is where do you wanna place them on your list. We will only know when they've retired.

Yes and no on the 7 weight belts thing.

Floyd has 5 yes, but Floyd's unified a division 3 times which Manny hasn't done yet surprisingly(Since it seems like he's done just about everything else).
