I fought for Jackie out of her Galaxy stable when I turned pro. She actually began her managing career out of our gym, she had a heavyweight out of Chicago that she was working with and they trained out of gym when I was an amatuer. When she decided to open her own gym, we had talked about it abit and I ended up designing the Galaxy logo that was worn on the truncks and robes of the Galaxy fighters.
Jackie is one hell of a great woman. She would always encourage me when I was fighting amatuer and she had a way with words that would make you feel like no matter what was happening or what might have happened, everything was going to be ok. The greatest thing about Jackie is her ambition. If there is something that she wants to do, she will research it and then go straight for it, with all of her natural abilities.
The thing about Jackie is that she is a very smart woman aswell as very ambitious. She is involved in the toughest sport in the world yet she never loses her humanity or dignity. If she says that she will do something, it may as well be written in stone because she will do what ever she has to do to fulfill her word. But the thing that was best to me was......... well her. She was like a mom away from a mom. Somebody that you could talk with about just about anything and she would not judge you, only recommend a way to remedy a situation or to find the way to take another step in the direction that you wished to travel.
Overall, Jackie is one of the most amazing people that I have met in my time in the sport. It is not her accomplishments or achievments that make her amazing. But more the way that when she is around, you know that everything will be ok. She has the soft touch of a mother in a den of wolves, yet when she needs to she will bare her claws and come after you if that is the position that you put her in. I doubt that I will meet another like her in my time but thats ok with me. She is a great woman doing great things. And I am proud to say that I fought for her, I wanted to make her proud of me when ever I was in the ring and she was near. I love ya Jackie.........Rockin'
