Well, I'd make a small bet that the "source" Empire Boxing, might have "proprietory rights" over Shannon Briggs, in other words they must be his promoters, and this is a promotional statement, and like most others of that ilk, has very little actual truth in it.

Briggs had a very brief "stardom" and then burned out, leaving only the same blustering braggart as always, and nothing more.

He should retire.

Briggs put on the worst performance I have ever seen by a champion when he lost to Ibragimov. He was just a ****ing scarecrow in there.
