Assuming Pac really wanted to fight Floyd…

It’s really starting to dawn on me just how improbable Pac vs May is becoming. Pac could have gotten 50/50, and probably the date moved back if that’s what he really wanted, and all he had to do was agree to a 14 day cutoff for OST. But he didn’t, and now if Pac really wanted to fight Floyd, he has really F’d up. Went it’s all said and done, Pac vs Clottey will do at best 750K. Now in normal circumstances 750K would be outstanding numbers, but in Pac and TR’s war with May and GBP that just won’t be enough. If May vs. Mosley does over 1.5 million, then he can kiss 50/50 goodbye, and 1.5 mil is the low end of some estimates. GBP would have a better chance of fighting Berto then TR probably and there is just no one else for Pac to fight that would even come close to May vs. Mosley. Pac vs. Bradley is a good fight, one that Pac should get a lot of credit for, but it would just underscore the PPV difference between him and May. The only possible option for Pac would be to fight a shameless cheater in a fight that wouldn’t be sanctioned in the U.S. The future purse issues, and the fact that Pac isn’t having OST for some reason, makes this possible superfight increasingly a fight to be discussed in the fantasy forum, and not NSB, which is a tragedy. One can only hope Haye beats Wlad then fights Vitali as a Heavyweight superfight to make up for the disappointment.

Of course, that all assuming that he actually wanted to fight Floyd, which I am. If he didn't, then he might make a better politican that I thought for being so convincing and making fools out of all/most of us.

LOL...more like if Floyd wanted to fight Pac he should have just did what he did with 39 past fighters, regular testing.

Fairly sure that arguement has been done before... and I'm sure a response to that has been posted before. But after all the BS, you have to say that since Pac didn't take the offer, the fight has become less likely.

I agree with ModernTalking. Why does he have to do "Special testing" with Pac when the rest of his fights were just regular testing?

So? If Pac really wanted to be in the biggest fight in boxing, he would of just said #uck it and signed, and fought him. If he needed a band-aid and a lollypop after the testing was finished, he could of asked for it in the contract.

because floyds camp was pretty sure pac was on roids, and pac was acting shady with it..... floyds the only fighter that could come out and say some **** about it. every1 else wouldnt care and would just take 5 mil to fight him....not floyd. he's smarter than that

But that's exactly the point though. It's getting less likely that they will fight. This wasn't meant to be an overdone thread about the past negotiations, but the possible negotiations in the future, and how events have made future negotiations very unlikely to succeed.

50 million dollars is way way too much to pass up for either of the fighters
