    follow manny's example

Just wondering how many of the top fighters could benefit from moving up a weight class and upping the intensity of their training? Please don't start in on the roids or PED discussion, there are lots of threads for that!!!!

Im not talking about guys jumping up 2 or 3 divisions just one move up because it is obvious they are cutting hard.

One guy has to be J. Clottey. He would have more energy throw more, train on his boxing instead of cutting weight.

Paul Williams looks much better at 154 than the 147 skeletal frame he was wearing.

Shane Mosley jumped from 135 over 140 to look awesome at 147 and 154.

Miguel Cotto fits the bill perfectly. Although he is short his ability to box and brutal body shots would neutralize the height difference just look at how he handled Carlos Quintana who is tall and rangy as well, and has a victory over the 6'2 Paul Williams.

I also wanted and wished that Floyd Mayweathe would have fought Jermain Taylor after De La Hoya b/c I knew he could beat Taylor off of boxing skills and superior stamina. Kassim Ouma and Cory Spinks did well so Mayweather could have easily become middleweight champion of the world but Al Haymon would have never let that happen.

I tell you what I will always wonder what the hell Roy Jones was thinking moving back down to Light heavy weight as well as Oscar when he almost killed himself to make 147 when he was already a part time boxer. I have to give Shane Mosley credit for his ability to move up and hold his own but he was just to small and his power at junior middleweight wasn't threre for him as it was at welterweight and below.

One would be Morales before his numerous losses.

Morales is probably a guy who's time has passed though but looking at his weigh ins he looked like he cut a lot.
