you are gonna be in for a rude awaking. No knock on cambell, but him Juan Diaz, Juan Manuel Marquez, Joel Casamayor and other top 135lbs have the same thing in common. Due to their lack of speed, and the fact there power will be neutralized going up against bigger dudes, they will never be competative at 140.

I could break down the whole science of it but basically in a nutshell, if you are moving up in weight you have to have some type of physical advantage. When has a guy ever went up in weight against a guy who was not only faster, but bigger and stronger? Maybe an ATG could pull it off, but it rarely happens.

i agree with what your saying but in this case ortiz defence is loose and gets wild, cambell has the experience to take advantage and i think he will,i hope im wrong because id like to see ortiz fight khan or a rematch with madiana

When Ortiz ices Campbell, I guarantee that Oscar will try to set Ortiz up with a Maidana rematch. It will be a win win for them, and a very smart business move. Ortiz gets his shot at redemption, while GBP is given more time to bring Khan along.

Also Ortiz has to face and beat Maidana, other wise he will never live that loss down. Ortiz beats Maidana, which I feel he will if he fights smart, then a GBP will have another in house mega-fight.
That was the point from the beginning, Ortiz was supposed to beat Maidana for the interim WBA strap making him #1 contender for Kahn when he won the regular title.....but Ortiz lost and now Khan is forced to duck Maidana so he doesn't get his glass chin shattered again.

I love when that happens and promoters don't know what to do.
