Hopkins need Jones-Hopkins II for his mental stability or he thinks he does......
How about you? Do you think boxing needs this right now?
I think this could will hurt boxing. Jones Jr., as great as he was, is done. He needed to hang it up, after the Calzaghe. I don't boxing needs this right now.
I liked Hopkins until he pulled this. Jones got KTFO by an average fighter in Danny Green and Hopkins still wants to go through with the fight only to make money and he knows Jones is shot to ****. Also Darchinyan vs Donaire shouldnt happen. Darchinyan got KTFO in the first fight. But hey I'd love to see Donaire knock him out again, I hate Darchinyan.
I like Hopkins-Jones II. Marquez-Vazquez IV on the otherhand is just ridiculous. So I voted for that one.
I saw that one and I flip on this one constantly. I love them both but I think it's selfish of the fans to put this two warrior through this again. I don't want any of these guys to get hurt.
What happens when Marquez wins and it's now 2-2? Do we see a quintilogy?

Boxing dosen't need it. Hopkins and Jones needs it for their own reasons. Roy's best days are clearly behind him but Hopkins ain't heavy handed enought to really hurt him. Hopefully he retires after Hopkins.
I honestly don't see a problem with Darchinyan-Donaire II. Darchinyan is #1 right now and he earned a rematch, while Donaire hasn't done crap and really needs to prove himself against top level opposition. Darchinyan happens to be top level opposition, whether Donaire beat him before or not. They both have something to prove.
I'm not crazy about Jones-Hopkins, but its better than Vasquez-Marquez IV. They already had a rubber match, and I can see them seriously damaging eachother if they fight again. They probably know eachother from head to toe at this point. This is the best opportunity for Jones to prove he's still got it without getting too hurt, and I suppose Hopkins believes this will avenge his only true defeat. But he needs to man up and face Dawson...seriously.
