Kimbo would have a puncher's chance that's it...
The guy lost a fight vs an mma fighter. Not even a legit mma fighter. A "can" who got owned in the ufc by another medicore fighter.

Kimbo hits hard , has a good chin but doesn't have the condition to last long.

Kimbo Slice made a living fighting guys off the streets with no professional experience. Even if they fight with some type of MMA rules, he will be owned pretty quickly.

There are other what if questions boxers vs MMA where there could be a real discussion, but this is not one of them.

simple, a boxer would own both kickboxers and mma fighters under boxing rules. Actually I'd say 80% if not 90% of the time, a boxer would probably always win under pro-boxing rules.

However, under "Pride fc" rules only.
meaning that, according to DSE's system , inside a ring, etc.
Boxers, no matter how good they are, wouldn't last one round vs sambo, judo, bjj, wrestling experts.I wouldn't even give them a chance vs chutebox and kickboxers. A boxer's best chance would be to somehow find a way to Ko their opponent during the first 20 seconds with a single punch, in order to avoid getting choked, slamed, subbed etc.

Having said that..I'd give a 50/50 chance for boxers under UFC sanctioned fights. Just because a good majority of ufc fighters are bums who know **** about ground fighting and are just ridiculing mma. Just very few of them can be concidered to be a real challenge.

Under K1 rules , it's harder to tell though.
It depends, Shanon Briggs had a fight and won his first K1 fight via KO but it was vs a wrestler. In other words, aguy who knew **** about kickboxing.

Vince Philipps got violently KOed vs the kickboxing expert, Masato. I think Vince even had a fractured arm and couldn't handle the kicks.

Ray Mercer lost under 12 or 15 seconds vs Bonjaski.
Botha had two notable victories but again. He got lucky cause one of his victory was vs Le Banner. Le Banner owned him till Jerome abandonned the fight (had a health problem. and still had an injured arm). Botha also managed to beat Aerts, but once again..the guy had a ****ed up ankle.

In one of Botha's last fight, He got Koed or tkoed in less than a minute. Poor Botha got 2 victories and like 6 or 7 losses.
Botha also lost a fight under mma rules vs a judo expert in less than a minute. (via submission).

Vitali Klitschko got Koed by a mediocre kickboxing fighter before his boxing career (via highkick)

A boxer has technically more chances in K1 since all the action will never go on the ground. He'll have more chances but it also depends vs which type of opponents he's matched with.

Matt Skelton who's never been koed in boxing got brutally koed & tkoed several times in K1 but then again, it's a different sport. So all of this proves nothing.

          i disagree
imo, it would take james one min and 30 seconds, because he would beat the **** out of him, clown him and then knock him out
