Betting on yourself to lose and losing on purpose

I was talking to this guy and he was telling me he knew he wasn't good enough to be a PPV fighter, so he just wanted to build a record and slaughter less experienced guys until he is about 25-0 and then fight another tomato can that's just a little better than the rest, but visit multiple bookies nationwide and put everything in his name on the journeyman to win..then take the dive..of course if you were caught you'd get shot but you could have other people do it,(handle the bets) etc.

At least the guy isn't delusional and has a plan, haha.
