Should Floyd vs Mosley happened in 99

First of all Floyd and Mosley are both my favorite fighters

I've watched their entire careers when Floyd was at 130 and Mosley at 135. I've never heard HBO bring this fight up at all. The most logical fight at the time was Floyd vs Corrales and Mosley vs Stevie Johnston. I think that what the networks were trying to build

Anyway I was watching the rematch Stevie Johnston vs Cesar Bazan today. After Stevie got his title back. Merchant asked Johnston " are you going to talk to your promoter (Top Rank)so you can finally unify your title against Mosley" Stevie said "I would like to fight Mosley but I want to fight in Denver first"

Johnston fought his next fight in Vegas not Denver. Then he fought Manfredy after that who Floyd already beat. Mosley fought Golden Johnson the month before Johnston vs Barzan in January. Then he fought John Brown and came in the fight as a WW I believe in April of 99. Then he moved up to WW that same year.

I just don't understand why would Arum offer Mosley a fight with Floyd at 135. But not Mosley vs Johnston since he promoted Johnston also, who was the WBC Champ at 135. While Mosley was the IBF Champ at 135. Plus this was the most logical fight at the time. Mosley called out Johnston to many times.

That's a bit before my time, but it seems like Stevie didn't want it that badly. At any rate, that may have been Mosley best chance to beat Floyd, to catch Floyd in his first fight as a lightweight. Floyd would have been in early twenties, and Mosley would of had a experience and strength advantage. An adjusted LW or WW Floyd would be too good for Mosley, but had Mosley fought the Floyd that Castillo did the first time, in his first fight at lightweight, injured, things could have been a lot different for Mayweather...
