Actually, if you do as I asked you'd see that Eddie starts to turn his head to the left a bit before Wlad's glove gets close. His head snaps back because his OWN glove (his left one) hits him in the face as a result of Wlad hitting his left glove. It's a richochet effect of sorts. That punch comes nowhere near Eddie's right temple. If you go to the 4:24 mark, you can see that Eddie's right temple is many inches away from the course that Wlad's left hook traveled.
No, in the vid I posted at 4:32 in slow motion you can see that Chambers glove is clearly behind the temple at the point of impact.
Chambers wasn't covering the side of his head completely when Klitschko's hook connected. He was starting to move away, which caused his defense to open slightly, and he wasn't fast enough to avoid the hook.
He was moving back and that's why it hit his left glove and not the right side of his face. His head/face was BEHIND the punch the entire time.
If that didn't land. Chambers deserves and oscar for the acting.
He snapped his head to the side and collapsed face first into the floor. It is a natural reaction to break your fall with your hands/arms. He landed face first, without breaking his fall.
Actually, he didn't land face first, but that's beside the point and not even relevant.
