Comments Thread For: Omar Chavez Decisions Jose Lopez, Remains Unbeaten

By Jake Donovan - Much like older brother Julio Jr., it appears these days that Omar Chavez is more concerned with winning and remaining unbeaten than actually improving.

Despite underground belief earlier in his career that he was the better of the fighting sons of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, the 20-year young offspring continues to watch his career move sideways. [Click Here To Read More]

the kid threw 6 jabs in a 6 round fight... that is right i watched the fight, 6 jabs only against a tomato can who was open to get hit with the jab, the he wouldnt get hit by omar because omar announce he was gonna hook like 3 minutes before he threw the punch.. i mean for real... a fighter without a jab and specially a tall one like omar and his brother julio need to find something better to do... you know how he looked last night like a street fighter.. might as well go to mma

Chavez sr & son just looked ridicules...

Chavez Sr made the ******est comment when trying to make 1 of his tomato can son's(Omar, Julito jr is the other tomato can) look good after his poor performance against another super tomato can(Lopez) by saying(after the fight)that Jose Lopez had very good experience against top of the line opposition & that Lopez had fought TWICE FOR A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!..Well that ALL TURNED OUT TO BE BULL****!..First of all Lopez NEVER FOUGHT FOR A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP & the ONLY FIGHTER somehow KNOWN in his record is Antonio Pitalua(who ain't no champ or ex champ & ain't that good)& out of the 9 losses & 2 draws in Lopez record, 8 losses(5 by KO against tomato cans) & 1 draw came in his last 11 fights...If Chavez Sr wants his son's to reach AT LEAST contender quality, Chavez Sr(way, WAY past his prime) is gonna have to step in the ring & fight for his son's himself & WILL MOST LIKELY LOOK BETTER & DO WAY BETTER THAN HIS SON'S!

canelo alvarez is worse 30 wins with 19 years old WTF 19 years old with 30 fight won who has he beat?alvarez's record is more inflated .omar chavez was just jabbing and trying to fight all round cuz he usually wins by KO but they critisim him when he wins by ko or decision.wich one is it.canelo cant take a single shot and he doesnt fight like a mexican.

He's never going to improve fighting guys like this and I believe it's because his father doesn't want him to get hurt. The only thing this does is get him hurt worse over a longer career, eating punches from bums for small money. The idea is to test him, see if boxing is really for him. If not, get out.
