someone had a good point here, hey I'm not saying wlad is the greatest ever, he might be top 10 heavyweight all time, or he might be top 20-25. but the point is he is an ATG at least in top 20-30 or so if not much better and guys like chambers are just 'decent' guys that will never even be in the top 100. so there's not much shame losing to an ATG i guess.

This was a solid win for Wladimir.

Although the reach was a problem, there was a way to get around that. I wish Eddie's trainer gave him some solid ring advice.

Don't say that, most of these jokers can't tell anything unless it's pointed out by an announcer.

The main problems was Wlad's ring generalship which came from his foot speed, reach, and mental toughness. His reach kept him out of range when they were standing in front of each other. His foot speed for when Chambers punched or feinted. And his mental toughness to come right back and press Chambers as soon as he stopped throwing.

Eddie's counter right hand was a waste, he should've kept it in the holster unless he was tied up or goin to the body.

His best punch was his left hook to Klitschko's left shoulder. It didn't do its intended purpose of injuring and/or stopping Wlad's jab and left hook.

The only punch that he could've actually done tonight is a counter left hook to the body. Anything else would've been out of character.

I expected Eddie to get beat but I thought he'd put up a better fight than he did. No doubt that straight right hand bomb in the 2nd just knocked him sideways and he never recovered. But then he just fought flat footed, right in front of Wlad, like Eddie has criticised all those other muppets who have fought the Klits have done.

But then, really.....look at the physical dimensions of the two fighters. Look at the height and weight advantage Wlad has, allied to his already very decent skills. Eddie doesn't even have the power to make a dent in Wlad's fragile chin. And how the hell does he even begin to get past the reach?

It was just too much of an ask.

I might get heat for this but Eddie Chambers is done. In both of his losses his corner has acted this way. He gets discouraged easily and has no heart. I don't see him bouncing back from this nasty KO.

Chambers wasn't close to getting knocked out against Povetkin, he just gave up because he was intimated by Povetkin's amatuer credentials and all the hype he got, so he gave the fight away.

Chambers really tried to beat Wladimir, it's just that Wladimir was too big and too good. It will take a while for Chambers to recover, he needs a brake, we have to wait to see how well Povetkin does.
