It's too dangerous- manny struggles to even stay above 147 and his maximum weight on fight night is always between 148-151.. dangerous considering jr middleweights will come in around 25 pounds or more heavier than that on fight night. He's already stretching it at welterweight- to go another division would be crazy.
I think unifying the welterweight division would be more impressive than an 8th title anyway. That would prove without a doubt that Pacquiao's the greatest fighter of this era. Winning an 8th title doesn't mean as much.
Nothing would make me prouder than hearing Michael Buffer say " And the Undisputed Welterweight Champion of the world.. Manny Pacquiao"Last edited by DARKSEID; 03-20-2010, 03:12 PM.Comment

If it's not the Mayweather-Mosley winner or Tim Bradley, I could not give two f'ing ****s who Manny Pacquiao fights in November.Floyd ain't fighting Manny so he's out of the equation. But, should Shane whoop up Floyd, will he fight Manny? Or will GBP insist that there be OS testing, as they said they would if any of their fighters goes up against Manny. Will they be true to their word, or were they just saying that to support Duck Mayweather?
Anyway, Manny's got a fight in November. Who will likely be the opponent and at what weight?
I may be willing to watch him fight Edwin Valero or Devon Alexander by then assuming either Valero or Alexander wins a big fight or two in the interim. But at this point I'm getting tired of Pacquiao. His fights used to be exciting. Now, they're over after the first round.Comment
